BtS 'Failed initializing Python' Fatal Error

I too am getting the "Fatal Python Error." And, for those so small minded as to simply call some piraters - rather than offer any useful advice - I have the full CD version of Cv4, Warlords, and BTS - still I get the error. I am a Civ fan, but this is not the first time we have dealt with this on a Release. Best of luck to all and if anyone figures this out, please post.

Have you tried the methods posted above? Still not working? If not, please post more details about your setup and I'd be glad to post this in another forum that might get quicker notice...though I imagine Firaxis is aware of this issue from the public by now.

Regarding the 'pirates' remarkts.
Since pirating software is very common these days (unfortunately), it's not that weird that people get suspicious if all kinds of weird errors occur.

I think that if you don't have a pirated copy (and I believe you don't) you can just ignore those comments. But you're right that it's sad that all this pirates-talk is happening

But that's the fault of the pirates, not of anyone else.

This thing is happening to me and it looks like a solution. But as I pulled out my purchased box of Civ IV, I only find two disks.

I have spent over four hours trying to install including multiple telephone calls. My Warlords is D2D.

One is "Soundtracks" and the other is "Disc 2/Play". Is there a disc 1? Before I uninstall I need to know this.
