It is mostly because they think the Celts aren't important enough to have a second leader when Spain, Japan, and Arabia still have one. I'd complain more about De Gaulle and Lincoln.

I can understand the reservation people might have about a civ having three leaders. Given the choice of the American leaders we now have, I would have had Washington and Lincoln originally. If I was forced to choose three of any American leader, Washington, Lincoln and Jefferson (who was in that poll Firaxis had on their site between the original release and the release of Warlords).

In my opinion, any leader who was in Civ I should have been in the game from the start, but that's just the nostalgia speaking.

Except that it would instantaneously meet the freedom requirement (both civs would be equal size, having exactly one city), and thus it would start the game being not a vassal...

Oh wait, it's already that way.

Don't worry, you didn't offend me at all. If anything, I think that I alienated our lovable Australian friends here.

But seriously, I couldn't pass that up.

LS is offended. Why, exactly? I liked the free jails for Australia comment. Of course, I'm not Australian.

                      Why?

                      History of Australia

Imagine how the poor French must be feeling because of constant American bashing concerning WW2.
I'm not buying BtS until Firaxis impliments the "contiguous cultural border negates colony tax" concept.

Any Australian or non-Australian living person surely has many more
criminal ancestors than the English criminals sent to Australia.

Does this matters? I believe anyone answers by himself, not by his/her
                        known and unknown ancestors.

                        Best regards,

Don't tell me the history of Australia. I know it.

Fact about Australia: any Aussie with convict heritage is very proud of it. I am very proud of my convict heritage.

I don't make jokes/insulting remarks about other's heritage, so why should I have to put up with it?

Do I make fun of Americans because they are rebels? Or anyone in Europe that they're land-stealing, native killing colonisers?

No, so do me the same respect!

Well, they were kind of envius untill WWI.

Proud of a convict heritage? Guess it depends on the crime they commited, but I know I'm not proud of how the US treated Native Americans. Here's the thing though, that's in a past so far gone that no one from that time is alive today, so if anyone comments on it as a slur against the U.S. today, it doesn't bother me and I just think the person is an idiot. I would think the same would go for any country with a shady history.
