If not at the preview itself, then definitely at the prospect of having BtS to purchase. The major downside: waiting for late July!

I must admit I'm not that overly exited about the expansion pack, some of the features does sound interesting, but not that much. At the moment I don't care about corporations (but that might change), spies are not that interesting either. The new space race might make the space race interesting again, it sounds like how it was in earlier Civ games, which is great. The earlier United Nations does sound promising too
This space is empty... or is it?

Better dread than dead, wodan. Better stick to civvin, forget that starcraft. Unless you really prefer RTS (and being dead).

There are on-map ocean trade routes that enhance the importance of your navy. .... There are colonies splitting from their motherland to form new civilizations
Well, people had better like it, since they clamored for it so.

The above mechanics make it advantageous to control as many instances of certain resources as possible - something that was not important in previous versions of Civilization. Therefore, securing resources, one of the most fun elements from the early game, is now extended into the late game. Corporations also extend the excitement of founding and spreading entities into your cities, which was previously present in the early game in the form of religions.
                        Ditto the above comment.

Well, actually all they had to do was have ocean trade route end-points. If the port is blockaded by sea, then the port no longer gets Harbor benefits, and the trade route is cut for the turn.

On the following turn, the trade route could attempt to link to another port city (but only ONE, and preferably one of the same civ).

Who knows, maybe their way is better.
