  • Final Patch for Warlords?

Can someone please confirm that there is indeed a final patch due. Thanks.

Or deny it. It works either way...

If there is a patch due, do you think any in the know could comment on it? I assure you, that would not be wise of them. Just look at Zoid's and my comments last year and how we were shut down.

But then, if there wasn't going to be one, they'd be ok with saying there wasn't. So, by lack of denial, it confirms one is coming! Haha

Are you sure? All I said, was those in the know wouldn't comment on it. What makes you think I'm in the know?

Alternatively, they could refuse to deny or confirm

Good idea. I guess that is what you (and perhaps me and Zoid? Who knows?) will do.

Oh, good grief! Why must a patch be so secretive?

Maybe if a patch is confirmed then many people will then pressure the "confirmer" to put forth a date. I know the Dev's don't like to put dates on releases of patches...

You can't pressure anyone for a patch release date! Well, you can but it will not get you a date -- not even on the calendar!

Patch dates arrive AFTER the patch is completed and passed quality assurance, in other words just a couple weeks (or less) before release. Just look at the past history of civ patches.

So is the Pirates! patch holding up work on Civ,
or is Civ work holding up the Pirates! patch?

Well considering that a new XP is just around the corner, it's highly unlikely that there will be another patch for Warlords.

Exactly! That's what I've been saying over in the Warlords Team DG forum, but noone seems to be listening...

If there is another patch it will come at the same time the XP comes.

In some cases, the work on new expansion packs also results in patches for the vanilla game and previous expansion packs. It's simple really, since if the game engine is improved, AI fixed, etc, many of those elements could be released for previous updates.
