        • It's been stated at YouGamers that Firaxis has moved the release date to July 20th. Does anyone know if this is correct? I checked Firaxis, but see nothing there. Maybe T2 has something about it.

            • That's a UK release date, not a US one. Quite a few European retailers are claiming the 20th as release date, so that may very well be accurate. Then again, it are ONLY retailers claiming this, they could easily be making this up to get more pre-orders. US publishers/developers are always vague about non-US release dates (probably because it's at least partially beyond their control), as are the non-US branches of US publishers (since it's largely beyond their control also). So it's hard to get any real confirmation about the non-US dates. I do know that vanilla Civ4 was out in Germany before it was in the US so it wouldn't be unprecedented for the European release to predate the US one -- but I wouldn't put any money on it.

Edit: It still doesn't work. That's odd. Basically the page states that the UK release date is the 20th, as mentioned by Locutus.

                • does the first post need to be updated again?

Also I heard a (nasty) rumor that a tileimp will cost inorder to build.

On the one hand, I'm excited since thats a reasonable compromise for PW

On the second hand I heard its only for one tileimp which means I'd have to mod it in on everytileimp

                      • Amazon UK is saying the 20th too. Shame my baby's due in four weeks, think my ears would get a little chewed if I played any Civ.

Our daughter was born in April and I thought the same thing. Turns out, I played more civ the first month or so after she was born than I typically do. Here's a hint:

If you feed with formula, or breast milk in a bottle, offer to do the feeding. It's very easy to figure out how to hold the baby and feed with the left hand, while your right hand is used to play civ. Typically I feed while my wife is pumping.

I watch our daughter a lot, she's either sleeping in my lap on the boppy or in her sleeper beside me. Of course, I'm playing civ at the time.

Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter and love being a dad, but one must learn how to adjust their civ playing to the new addition!
