      The island was already settled I hate fighting sea battles, so I opted to invade my good buddy to the south. Who needs friends anyways!

        [SIZE=1] Really? I didn't know that. But it makes the revolt little more than a nuisance then.
        I didn't know that, either. I do find that when I take out a city in the intersection of three cultures (me, former owner, third party) it takes a culture bomb to keep it from flipping to the third party.

        I have been following a policy of not accepting capitulations because I wanted to zero the other civ's culture in order to retain the captured cities. If it's true that a cpatured city may not flip back to the former owner, I could have been accepting all those capitulations.

        Oh well. Civ and learn.
