That would be Borat. Also known as Sascha Baron Cohen or Ali G

That's Borat. A character that Sacha Baron Cohen sometimes created and plays (he also did Ali G and Bruno).

Borat is supposed to be from Kazakhstan and acts stupid/racist/crude when he goes around interviewing people but to the knowing viewer it is seen that he's making fun of the interviewee. Very funny, though I think I prefer Ali G at his best (it's a close call though).

Actually, the C4DG hasn't gone through that many turns - 49 or something at this point. 7 teams take a long time to pass turns around

There are a few teams that could use members, and if nothing else it would be a good idea to join a team just for the experience of seeing how a DG works so that when you start up with a new one you're more experienced

I myself started (with Vox) in PTWDG practically at the end of the game, really, and got some valuable experience watching how that team worked, even 200+ turns into the game (and post-voxodus...)

BTW, if this waits for the next XP I'd love to sign up to start a team

I would say that to do this and add interest a randomization of teams to some extent should be in order, perhaps 7 team captains who then have a 6 round draft and anyone not drafted can be invited by any team after that...

just something to think about...

oh and I'm interested in moderating such a game (with another cool-type person (like Borat))

If a new team game does get up and running there needs to be a thorough consensus on what constitutes roleplay, way too much over sensitivity to my mind spoiled c3cdg and has tamed the civ4 team game to the point of boring.

Metaliturtle i think your approach to things would be refreshing as a moderator so i support this whole heartedly

In 9 months about 50 turns of the current demo game have been played.

If you make a Warlords demogame, learn from their mistakes. Make a Small Pangaea (or landbridged continents) and Quick speed.
