As much as I hate the US, you can´t disregard the massive impact it has had on almost every aspect of human history these last 100 or so years. But Canada? What have they achieved? Even Sweden is a better candidate for inclusion...

Charlemagne, King of the Franks; my first choice - yep, ahead of Louis XIV and Napoleon - for a leader of France. It's difficult to comprehend how he could be considered leader of any other civ since he was one of the first leaders of the Franks - his initial seat of power - after the Merovingians who - were they to be included in Civ - would certainly be considered for leaders of France.
Germania refers to a geographic region which happened to be predominantly inhabited by Germanic tribes during the time of the Roman empire. These tribes went on to form two of the civs currently in the game (hopefully three with the possible future inclusion of Austria). They don't need further representation in the game.
While it could be argued that a similar description of Celtia could be used, the Celtic tribes did not go onto form any more particularly prominent political group at any considerably later time in history and so Celtia is the best that could be made out of them if the Celts are to be included in the game (I'm not enamoured with the concept of their inclusion).LandMasses Version 3 Now Available since 18/05/2008.

We are not the 51st state!
We've got 10 provinces and 3 territories. So, we should be the 51st through 63rd states!"Every time I have to make a tough decision, I ask myself, 'What would Tom Cruise do?' Then I jump up and down on the couch." - Neil Strauss

UU?
UB?
World Wonder associated with?
Leader?
Canada still has the Queen of England on their currency!
How can they even be considered?
Now, Aluets or Eskimos or such -- they could be considered, altho I can't answer any of my posed questions related to them either. Can anyone name someone who is not a trader or an explorer who is famous for what he did in Canada? No matter where you go, there you are. - Buckaroo Banzai

There are plenty of famous 'artists' from Canada. Actors Mike Myers, Jim Carey, Mary Pickford, plus any actor named 'Lorne' is probably Canadian.
Singers Alanis Morrisette, Burton Cummings, Paul Anka, and of course, Celine Dion.
Etc., etc."Every time I have to make a tough decision, I ask myself, 'What would Tom Cruise do?' Then I jump up and down on the couch." - Neil Strauss
