    a) When does it come out there - and what is the length of delay until you get your hands on it

    b) Call me old fashioned, but I sort of want to try it out myself, play around with it, make mistakes etc, before I look to others (who do know a hell of alot more about this than me, and are better at cIV than me) for strategies.

Just my opinion - it makes it more fun

All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I think it is the 28th - could be 29th, not exactly sure. On the Aussie websites, there is mention of it being the 28th. I just know it's later It's strange. I allways had it in my mind that it was going to be a week later.

I will also add though, that I am now having some rather unpleasent problems with the computer which is scaring me. It is to the point where I am wondering whether the computer will still work when I get it. We'll see.

That sounds like a good chance to spend this week before you get Warlords fixing your computer, no ?

Yeah, I think it's a powersupply problem: Am having many random 'stop errors' and the powersupply occassionally makes unhealthy sounds.

          Frigging good timing...

If you lose the unit possessing XP, OF COURSE you SHOULD lose the GG points!

                Even if you disband it.

No, I think it would only count the xp gained from battle. If off course you lost, then you wouldn't get any xp from it. I would find it hard to believe that you would loose xp from loosing a battle.... mind you, it would make it really interesting!

                    Sorta makes sense.

Man that would change my thinking about wether to disband, upgrade, or throw it meaninglessly against some civ's city walls!

Yeah, that's my understanding as well - losing a unit should not cause you to lose all accumulated xp for the purpose of generating a great general - instead, every time your units gain xp, the equivalent would be added to some general pool (invisible or visible - e.g. in the military advisor screen) and not disappear if you lost your armies.
The problem with leadership is inevitably: Who will play God?

Hmmm - guess we'll just to buy it, play it, and find out!

I already preordered. Unfortunately, I'm leaving for holidays this Sunday, so I won't probably find out until I am back (but I will have internet access, so I hope you guys here won't disappear totally and post some of the comments afterwards).

Ill be camping for the next days; i wonder who came with the idea of camping in the coldest winter ever, but whatever... id rather be playing civ

It cant be like that, losing xp with a unit. Otherwise, the game would get boring! Send army to battle, then send them back to camp safely while you build a new attacking force.. after a couple wars, your cities would be filled with precious experienced units which you cant lose or youll never see a GG again!
