It's still not making me rich!

Indeed, though, when playing Frederick, I tend to type in "Prussia" for the civ info just because it feels right

I'm going to nitpick about a war elephant defeating my infantry the other day. Yes I know everyone complains about this ****. But it never ceases to piss me off.

        Two things for right now:
Barbarians tend to ignore other tribes and only target me. Many times have barbs ignored some other civ and headed straight for my city (not that i mind, I like the exp)

Second, the other civs do not fight each other a lot. I remember one game where the only wars in the whole game were the nes I started.

turn on aggressive AI. That should do the trick.

Really? That hasn't been my experience at all. On higher difficulty levels (prince+) they're constantly declaring war on each other... and trying to drag me into wars every two turns. It actually gets quite annoying.

Yeah, I see fighting all the time.

and I do see barbs go after the ai. It just so happens that if you are closer to the barbs than the ai city/unit is, the barbs will go after you.

Barbs will go after easier targets, and since the AI get better combat bonuses vs. barbs (40%) than the player does, they have a tendency to target the player.

I can't stand not being able to pillage unnecessary enemy roads once I conquer their territory. To me, an unnecessary road is any road outside of a fat cross, that is not connecting a resource or cities. In my experience, the AI builds too many roads I consider unnecessary resulting in a cluttered looking empire. I started a thread about this and have thus discovered that I am in the minority so I am not looking for sympathy. Just thought I'd add my two gold pieces.

So pillage them BEFORE you've taken the city.
Be practical. Balance your desire to take the city with the desire to keep it neat!

or you could pillage them soon after you take the city before the resistance ends and the cultural boundaries expand.

I have had to resort to pillaging before I take a city or soon after it is conquered before the borders expand again. What I am left with now are the roads my cultural border eventually swallows up. I can't do anything about these roads without causing a war because one turn they are my enemy's road and the next they are mine.

You can chop forest all you want. But for the love of God you can't plant it.

                              Seems a bit strange really.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

That depends really on whether it is Elizabeth or Victoria leading it.

                                Some of my pet peeves:

Anachronistic language in diplomacy. Particularly Alexander say "It'll be way cool!"

Can someone please tell the Civolopaedia author that the USMC are not the only marines in the world. They were not even the first - both the British and Dutch had marines before the Americans. (Its surprising that this description has persisted, now that the Americans don't even get marines any more).
