I miss not ever using the advanced techs. Whether I win or the computer, it is way before we are using advanced infantry, Robotics etc. Even the space ship win can be done without ever really putting the advanced techs into play. (Other than building the space ship section).

Ships and Bombers that did something worhwhile. Why these units can not injure and eventually kill armies makes no sense.

Some way to steal tech from advanced cultures.

I'd be fine with allowing Spies to plant nukes, but they'd be reaaaaally expensive. So far as stealing techs goes, maybe you could steal one tech from each nation, at most. Or perhaps just steal a number of beakers towards a tech (the way lightbulbing a GP works).
I miss unloading transport after transport of spies (8 per ship) onto an enemy continent and wiping out all the buildings in a city.

(And if you had built/captured a city nearby, they would mostly return there, ready to continue the rampage next turn).

Who need tanks and bombs when you have a legion of spies?

I do not agree with this. You could counter balance such a move by for instance placing your own spy in your city to defend against an ennemy spy. Also you should limit the stealing of tech to cities that have specific buildings (ex. a university or laboratory) so that your borderline cities are not an overly easy target. In reall live a spy doesn't steal technology in a small agriculture community either . This idea could be expanded for stealing of military information also (but based on barracks or castles..) Also to steal some techs the spy should be able to remain unseen for a number of turns depending on the tech after (after the order to steal and before receiving the tech)

The nuke part for spies are more difficult to counter balance. Maybe it should reveal always the civ that executed the attack so that it becomes the same as overt nuclear missile launch + very high cost.
