Gunter, Civ4 is great, no short demo can give it justice. For example, I doubt the demo gives you the possibility to play on marathon?

It sounds like someone is projecting their own inadequacies into other people's posts.

Has this turned into a smiley thread?
I'm not buying BtS until Firaxis impliments the "contiguous cultural border negates colony tax" concept.

                        hey gunter!

this is not yet finished. you´re not trying to convince anybody, but i do!
just like you, i played (almost) every SID game.
from railroad tycoon, pirates! and civ to all its sequels and i am what you might call a "fulltime Strategical Player". sid became the one i prayed to most. ("oh please mighty sid, let my troops take that city, please, please...")

imho cIV really is the best civ ever. they implemented many things, that i felt were missing in earlier civs. the ai (inter-)acts much better now. diplomatic relations are much more reliable. and warfare is better ballanced than it used to be. though your beloved cruise-missles have been dumped war is still kind of fun.

                        play the game!
War and courage have done more great things than charity. Not your sympathy, but your bravery hath hitherto saved the victims.
