  • Minor complaint about combat system

The combat system is kind of trench warfare. I wish it was a little more dynamic. Wars lasting 1000 years or more seem rediculous.

Its to bad you can't siege a city. If you could there would be some need to attack out or attack into the beseigers.

A simple way to do this is would be once you reduced the city defense bonus to 0, then all units in the city would start taking colateral damage and you could walk into the city in 4-6 turns easily. This would motivate people to attack the attackers. It might make the game a little more interesting.

Another minor annoyance is after you capture a city, all the improvements are gone. Which means generally unless the city is in a great place you will want to raize it. Not keep it.

You can't siege cities? I wonder what I've been doing with my catapults the last months then...

I agree but the same thing can be said in the other direction also. Artillery pieces should be able to bombard the attackers FROM the city as well and not just be forced to make suicide runs against the attacker.

Bombard damage should be less effective than colthreal damage of course. Perhaps bombarding should have a strenght value that would equal to 1/3 of the units normal attack value.
        GOWIEHOWIE! Uh...does that
        even mean anything?
