How long before a culturally overwhelmed city finally caves?

I agree. That was hard to grasp. It does explain a little bit to me, but I'm a little slow on the uptake at this time of day (for me).

I've never seen a flip when at war, or a barbarian flip. I assumed since you were always at war with the barbs, they wouldn't flip (since I had never seen a flip or revolt during a war).

One question though - if a civ changes its civic to free religion, and the city has the state religion of the "attacker", does that mean the attacker gets the religion bonus?

When changing to free religion the defender loses his religion bonus while the attacker keeps his religion bonus, assuming both religions (which could be the same one) are present.

In general you are a bit more vulnerable to flipping when running free religion.
