Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I wouldn't want that, that's just bollocks.Originally posted by Blake
THere could even be adaptive mode where the AI get bonuses proportional to the amount of lead you have on them.
If they could, I would like to see the computer players play better. Otherwise, leave it as is. Don't cheat more.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

SVC sounds like some kind of plastic.

It was actually linked to in a thread that contained links to classic threads, but I can't find that one either
.
At least archive attachments work again so you can check out Aeson's screens.
Sure, the game also shows how screwed the Civ3 balance was

I like this idea quite a bit. On occasion, I will try for a domination victory on a huge map with all/some other victory conditions turned off. Inevitably, I will stall somewhere between being overwhelmingly the dominant nation with no real rivals, but short of being able to achieve that victory. It is then becomes just a matter of riding out the game. It would be nice if this customized victory condition popped up, say every 20 turns after meeting it, and said “You have achieved [3 of 4 of the conditions mentioned above]. Would you like to declare a Quick Victory?”. I could either chose to end the game with a win, or continue on playing to the time (or whatever) victory condition I was aiming for.Originally posted by Blake
for example:
Victory Conditions:- Population exceeds next best by 25%.
- Territory exceeds next best by 25%.
- Culture exceeds next best by 100%.
- Date is at least 1500AD.
- To win, must satisfty 3 of 4 victory conditions.

If someone still has civ3 on his machine, the save is still there.(while you have it open, you wouldn't mind taking a few pics, would you?
