What I don't understand is why will the defending unit march to the tile of the attacking one and fight. It seems to me it should be the other way around. This is specially funny when the attacker is overpowering, since then the defender seems to charge to his death.

I've encountered similar issues, though I don't know if the latest patch has already fixed this: When my ship (destroyer) attacks an enemy ship, occasionally the view switches to a very high zoom level and I see my ship going away (always to the right), hear battle sounds and after the "battle" everything is back to normal.

I thought it looked quite nice. Down with boring fonts!
One of these days I'll make 501 posts, and you won't have to look at my silly little diplomat anymore.

I had one funky graphics thing. I noticed a healthy unit,(musketman, maybe) had only one of the three guys showing. Later, I was off looking at something else and a couple guys come floating by. I decide to scroll along with them until they finally rejoined the lone guy. Maybe they needed a bathroom break?Times change - Principles don't

I have now ticked the option not to zoom in during combat. It's much better this way, looks pretty much like civ3.
And it's less painful not to see the blows your guy gets. (I play with single unit graphics, the multiple ones confuse me)"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."
