  • Fix the animations, please

Combat animations fail to play way too often. Or maybe my swordsmen really are invisible?

I haven´t experienced any invisible swordsmen, but AI units seem to "float" from tile to tile. It looks slightly eerie...

      Oh oh oh... wait...

You mean my samurai DONT have a "Death look" that kills at range? I thought that was hot... cause apparently there is no animation for melle first strikes!~

They Both just stand apart from each other, the samurai look mean, then swordsmen die.

They're not called a Unique Unit for nothing.

This is not an issue. If animations don't load, that means less processing and memory is needed for them!

With all due respect, I'm not sure that is true. I've experienced animation glitches when no memory issues were present whatsoever--at least in any other aspect of the game. It seems highly suspicious that nothing is fluky with the animations when some very strange things happen and the game otherwise runs fine. I'm talking about animations that go in the wrong direction (like cannon or catapult fire), or multiple units that march their way across the entire globe when selected, even though no orders have yet been issued. Those kind of things don't smack of memory issues to me.

EDIT: I should disclose that this screenshot was taken prior to 1.52.

What´s even weirder is that it´s only scouts that´s done that so far...

Then it can´t be related to shortcomings in the system, as Enigma claims... Do your scouts move alright? Mine do...

Yes, they do. The only weird thing is this, that "floating" issue.

Weird indeed, I wonder if this has been reported? It´s not a major bug, but still...
