Well I have played 3 games since I installed the 1.52 patch and I am seeing some wierd stuff as far as how many and where key resources are on the map.
I have yet to see copper anywhere when I research the early tech. The only copper I have seen was when I plopped down a mine on a hill. One of those slim chance you will find results. Of course that was in 1500 and was useless. There are few horses. In fact the only horses in 1 game were on an island in the middle of nowhere and on a different continent. (2 horse tiles on the entire map) So we had infantry wars. All the iron was clumped together and I laid cities down first, so the enemy had archers and warriors. Needless to say, no contest.
A good thing is that I have seen more Ivory. So beeline to cat's and elephants is needed often since no horses. I am playing on terra and small map.
The new economic changes have messed my game up a lot. I used to be on the edge of going bankrupt. So I kept my research pretty high and everything was fine. Post patch, I need to make some big adjustments. I can't get away with what I used to.
