Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Heck....I gues I was aa little unprepared, expecting the Barbarians to come out of the forest with a couple of poorley equipped warriors, and eventually horsmen. Not an army of swordmen and archers, much less axemen(very intimidating)
I guess I should have researched bronze working before 1150 Ad.....
I know HOW do to it, exceution is a different matter.......
I was really culturally strong though! Know all manner of stuff.

I assume you've played other civs before this one, right? Barbs are apparently totally sooped up in this one.
The map chosen and whether your barbs are "raging" makes a big difference regardless of difficulty. I lost a few games on "Settler" with Highlands or Ice Age and the raging barbs. The maps I mention give them numerous places to hide barb cities, which produce faster than normal spontaneous barbs, but their are also numerous dark spots in the fog throughout, in mountain ranges and the large arctic regions for them to produce, even without cities.
They start coming about the time you research archery and have a second city. Real barbs that is, not animals; the latter won't cross your culture boundary. The barb boys switch to axemen about the time you start killing them consistently with your archers; then they get swordsmen, which can take your cities even with walls. Beyond that, I usually either beat them down with multiple roving combat groups of axemen or they beat me (permanently.) So, I haven't gone beyond that. Does anybody know if the barbs ever get firearms?
By the way, isn't this thread supposed to be about Holy Cities??
You will soon feel the wrath of my myriad swordsmen!
Good god, I don't know whether to flame the n00b for whining to people who don't care, or praise him for making his own spam thread while flying under the mod's radar.
I shall do both.
You are a spamming idiot, and I respect you.
