How do you make a Holy City?

This is my first game, and moses is in washington itching to make the Church of the Nativity. 'Cept Washington isnt a Holy City. So, um....How do I get it to be? Christianity has been spreadin pretty well, and Im very pleased. Sadly Montezumas in the game. Alas, its 1192 and I havent a single swordsman, or anything else aside from a bunch of warriors. I might get Ghengis to help me. He's probobly jealous bieng in third place(with Monty in 2nd.)

Aye, I founded it, and Jeudism, along with Confucinism, and Islam. All the others by accident, but oh boy did they catch on!

Well, you need to figure out where Christianity was founded. It's indicated next to the city name. There will be a cross for all cities that are Christian. There will be a star on the cross for the Christian holy city. You can only build the shrine there.

Well, no wories mate! I evacuated Moses from the soon-to-be-invaded/razed washington and he built the Church in Boston! Now, after I rebuild washington, Ill build my capital in Boston, and Rename it Dallas.

Well, my swordmen faired better than expected! They killed two units of axemen and two archers befor succumbing to the fury of the barbarians.
