I'm new to this forum but a long-time fan of the Civ series. I've downloaded the 1.09 patch and there is a slightly noticible increase in performance. However, there's still a lot of room for improvement. Does anyone know if MORE patches are in the works and if so, what kind of ETA would we be looking at?

Firaxis does not give ETAs of patches."Compromises are not always good things. If one guy wants to drill a five-inch hole in the bottom of your life boat, and the other person doesn't, a compromise of a two-inch hole is still stupid." - chegitz guevara

Well lets just hope there will be one.. this is a pretty sorry state they've left it in for the moment. Random crashes during single player, random crashes in multiplayer, music skipping, performance problems.. wait.. what did the current patch do again? It's what you learn after you think you know everything, that counts.

I'm sure they're just release it if and when it's finished.. rather then delaying it untill a specific date.. doesn't make much sense. But I really really like the game.. I love playing epic games, even though they aren't epic enough for me. I find the middlish renessaince era and on goes too quickly. But I can't get past the game crashing every few turns in and after the industrial age, and it's just unbelievablly frustrating. Its just impossible to play.. the autosaves every 4 turns can't keep up with the amount of crashing.. I just keep playing the same 3 turns and it crashes again.
Rather frustrating..It's what you learn after you think you know everything, that counts.
