The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

The setup has detected that no version of Sid Meier's Civilization 4 is installed...
I also got a similar error when I re-installed Civ 4 for the nth time. Very strange.

Yeah, that seems to happen if you use a custom install path. The installer will still install the patch, so don't worry.

the patch doesn't go anywhere....it's right after i open it....i downloaded and tried to install as a standalone in the civ 4 directory AND tried to go through civ 4/advanced/check for updates....
If you use the advanced options to download the patch, it should automatically install it for you.

I got that error message at the end when I installed the 1.09 patch on my wife's computer (we bought two $50 copies of course). But it didn't mean anything. The patch did install properly. It works.
i put the patch in c:\program files\app data where the default install is.....i try to run it and get that message....does it have to go over a clean install or something?? i tried to install the patch by itself AND tried to do it from the game.
