You deserve a medal for persevering through Civ4 with a four year-old graphics card. It's like your card is a longbowman killing the Civ4 tank!

      Yes it does.

Also, I get the same garbled graphics when I first enter the Sims 2 create a sim screen, do you get that one too?
      I dont know. I only have 2 games installed: CIV & CS:S!

Have a GeForce 6600GT with latest nvidia released drivers and firmware.
      Mine is a Geforce 6800.

I haven't tried the alt-tab, but it goes away if i turn the tile grid on and then off.
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

                Interesting...
It always worked for me (+100% if having coal and iron).

I wonder what's up with "softer" pillaging sounds? Softer volume or more political correctness?

I mean geez let's face it, we are basicly burning people's houses and farms and stealing their money...war crimes agains civilians...and people want Firaxis to play the Barney theme song during that? LOL

I have had the same problems with the 6xxx series of cards in other games as well. Neverwinter nights just locks up on me because of this graphics glitch, and I get that garbly map issue too. I think the card is a bit faulty.

Re: the garbled graphics in globe view.

I've got a 6800 and am having the same problem. I was poking around nVidia's driver docs last night and the docs for the latest set of drivers (about a week ago) for GeForce cards lists garbled graphics in globe view for Civ IV as an unresolved/pending issue.

Sounds like this is something that needs to be fixed on Nvidia's end so I'm not getting my hopes up that the Civ patch fixes this problem.

ps - I didn't think to check Nvidia's beta driver section. Could be a driver set that fixes this particular issue will show up there first.

Honestly, I hope they reduce the amount of wood you get from a worker chop. Bring it down from 30 to 20.
As is, the worker chop start is just too good, and it blows past the AI.

I did not see mention of the "bread bug"

i.e. I only see bread (and not the correct amount according to the square it should represent (1 bread on grassland, 2 on plains?, should be reversed).

Also, I noticed that the game seems to move very quick, does not allow you to build many units at all (at least not quickly, even in the quick game instead of epic). I wonder if this is a balance thing, as more units would hog memory.

Well, cows and sheep still there. Once you realize you can tame cows and sheep you realize, 'hey, wouldn't that be easier if I could round them up on four legs also?' And then you look around and see... horses.
