XGustaX, I'm getting very tired of listening to you, here and in the 'What civs should be in the expansion' thread. He DID name his source; and that Zappia thing looks to be down right now. If you were, in fact, convinced by Luinsar:

    then stop talking about it..

Oh and we have an edit button for a reason.

.....that Zappia thing looks to be down right now......
key word even you said it "that Zappia thing" this source is simply not creditable because no ones ever heard of it! lol Even you seriously the site looks like it was made by a bunch of kids lol. Ill trust the Washington Post, one of our MOST POPULAR newspapers, over some cheap crap thank you.
And yes i was conviced by him. Do you want to know why? Because he acutally knew what he was talking. Unlike you guys giving out random teenage built looking sites. Also he stated the differences between a Great Nation and Great Civ unlike your self where you made fun of my request to put Argentina in the game. So next time i agree with bolobob here on this be much more profession and stop making fun of things like your in the 5th grade. I agree with him because you obviously had no clue about what you are talking about. So of course why would I ever agree with you? You Could learn a lot from Luinsar.

I never made fun of it. I asked why. And who the **** are you to talk about not making fun of people?!! And if you're actually convinced, SHUT UP. And I have serious doubts that you and Bolobob are, in fact, seperate people. The only way you're different is that he has better spelling... Language is your friend, Gusta. "I agree with Bolobob this be much more profession?" Stop butchering this language. You have yet to prsent a single argument so far that is not ad hominem. Now that the Zappia article is back up we can see you for what you really are: a troll. That's a professional site.

Luinsar has only restated what we've been trying to tell you all along. Only until he said it, the point was, sadly, beyond your grasp.

        Yes, I know I've snapped. I don't particularly care.

It definately seems that military great people are "missing" after Civ III. I'd like to see them put in some how, but... it isn't clear what they would actually do. Perhaps they could miraculously assemble an army of 3-5 units with their amazing leadership.

That would be great but it also isn't clear what new specialist would be connected to it. Captains... and they would... do what, I wonder? +1 Experience to units created in the city? Might work...

+1 exp would be too much i think. imagine captain + theocracy + vassalage + pentagon + west point, thats 11 xp or level 3 for new units, or 9 xp in cities without west point. that's a bit too much powerful for just one specialist. probably some gold and a hammer would work fine. besides, a priest specialist doesnt contribute to culture, so a general doesnt have to contribute to exp.

i think the castle building would be perfect for allowing one general specialist, with military type wonders allowing some extras.

for its unique ability, assembling 5-6 crack units (600-1400 hammers), a mix of infantry/melee, with some artillery, cav and ranged units (with emphasis on melee/infantry types), or have some dialogue box that allows the player to choose what units.

+1 exp in one city for burning a great person sounds good, but +1 exp for switching a normal worker is too potent unless you add a building that is costly to build that controls the allocation of that specialist. After all, +1 exp isn't really much use unless its going to give you a new skill level before you begin fighting. If you run any decent civics, getting 2 promotions before firing a shot is easy, so its really if its too easy to get to 3 promotions that will make a difference. I don't think it will, unless you permit multiple captains.
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

About heroes, they could be useful in scenarios but certainly not for the normal game.
And being stomped in short order by the UK during the Falkland war washes all of that out.

                      OK, Children. Settle Down.

I think we can drop the Argentina conversation. That is really better discussed elsewhere.

I think a +1 experience is fine. If a Civ wants to put the effort into training their military, they should be able to.
