Hero Units and immigration

I think for the next expansion pack they should do several things. One Add Argentina -John Peron as the leader. The Incans dont really count because compared to present day Argentina the Incans are no where near as powerful. Not to mention Argentina for about a 80 years was the second richest country next to Britian and yes richer then the US. Anyways Hero units should also be added much like artists etc. but these should be able to fight and have more strength then addtion units. The finally thing i could think of them adding is Immigration so and u could set your civic polices on immigration for ex. open door immigration.

Promotions are bad enough, we don't need Civ going even more RPG on us.

Heros, I think, would be cool, but Civ has never been about single person actions. And anyway, each unit is about Corps size. Say you have Colonel Burton...he may be good, but he can't single-handedly take out a Corps.

Throw some Braveheart in there and a little Gengus Khan, maybe a sprinkle of that french chick and a tad of Bruce Lee and then top him off with some Mike Tyson and you might get one of those heroes... maybe, lol

Perhaps the heroes should only work with a stack of units, giving more movement or strength points.

heroes are already in: great people as "civil" heroes and super-promoted units as military heroes

and regarding argentina: you are joking, right? argentina was nothing until 100 years ago and still has a very low population density and no great achievement.

there is only one single modern era civ: the USA. no other current-day civ deserves to be in (many in fact say the US shouldn't be in). but if there were more, than brasil and korea would sure as hell come before argentina.
and before them we need PTW stuff like vikings, carthagians, etc.

i do however agree with one thing: the incas do not really deserve to be in. i guess they were merely added for world map balancing purposes...

Wonderful idea. This would really make for a better way to deal with getting across land in a hurry, as in being led by a leader.

About heroes, they could be useful in scenarios but certainly not for the normal game.

yeah evita was hott! lol Argentina was the first latin american country to industrize and still MUCH richer then brazil its GDP is much higher and has a standard of living eqaul to Europe lol i dont see brazil with that....your igorance is just patheic ur such an AI. When was this exactly?

I admit to not being exactly an expert on south american history - but I cant think of 80 years where argentina could fit as this massively rich country... During the early 19th century (after the napoleonic wars) it was barely even a country and if napoleons advsiors had managed to keep him health and fit and get him off the island it could have ended up as part of a united states of south america...

and then after much of europe repaired itself after the conflicts france, prussia (and then germany) Russia and portugal were all extremely wealthy (more so than the USA)

by the start of the 20th centry the USA was rivaling Britain as the worlds most wealthy company (and overtook it by about 1930ish, definately by 1940)

So where on earth does this 80 years fit in? There MIGHT have been 20 or so years between 1820-1840 as France and the rest of europe was recovering but thats it.
