<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running. Play Bumps! No, wait, play Slings!
Am I the only one who wasn't terribly impressed with Nimoy's readings of many of the quotes? I know there's quite a few I would have read differently, at least in terms of inflection, and his almostly completely non-emotional delivery is awful except the irony of it when he does the Sputnik quote.

Dude, he's SPOCK! What do you expect?!

Spock is played by Nimoy, yes, but that doesn't mean HE has to be a Vulcan. If he's playing the part of a Vulcan, that might explain how he knows what happened to Earth in prehistoria - hell, maybe he even watched it form =p - but that doesn't change the fact that I am disappointed with the readings.
Yeah, you can't make everyone happy, but many of those quotes were funny or had some emotion to them. His reading has none. I wouldn't even qualify that in the same league with deadpan humor.

Why did you think they chose Nimoy for? For his unemotional voice. What would be the point of hiring Nimoy and telling him to speak with emotion and passion while doing the quotes? Better to get Martin Sheen or someone if you wanted that!
Firaxis wanted an 'encyclopedic' voice. Nimoy's traditional non-emotional speaking was perfect for it.

Hearing Nimoy quote the Velvet Underground was worth the $40 I spent on the game. And the Sputnik quote was fantastic. I wish he said who he quoted though.
Having never seen Spock, I can't evaluate that, but I really like Mr. Nimoy's voice and delivery. The "beep beep beep" one is great. I was quite surprised on first hearing it . I like the Communism quote too.

Personally, I love the emotionless tone of Mr. Nimov's voice, especially when he is delivering some piece of literature, poetry or song. It is fantastic.
The problem with leadership is inevitably: Who will play God?
