  • Pyramids now a huge imbalance?

The only one who gets to buy things early on is the person who gets the pyramids. Is this not a huge advantage?
The camel is not a part of civ.
    THE CAMEL IS CIV !!!!
    SAVE THE CAMEL !!!!!!

I've never really liked this aspect of the pyramids. Why would building a pyramid allow a different government type, while restricting is from other civs? Just doesn't make sense to me...

You could say that building something that impressive in the ancient era requires a certain mastery of political organization.

One particular way of labor organization, yes, but being able to switch between different civics no. I would rather gave each city +20% hammers for constructions any other building (except for wonders) as to show that they have superb labor force.

Yeah. It's not too powerful either since cash is short- and if you're spending it all on improvements/units, you won't be spending it in diplomacy.

Plus no representation research bonus (combined with the other civic that gives you a free specialist is good),. I dunno, it seems OK to me.

I don't think representation or universal sufferage should be given.

Police state and hereditary rule does make sense though.

What.. you never watched Star Gate?

The pyramids were built by the goault (sp). They left lots of knowledge behind - so its quite realistic

I thought the pyramid thing was dumb, definatley.

Also dumb...the Internet. It appears really late in the game making it almost useless. By the time you discover Fiber Optics you probably have most of the techs in the game. What is the use of that? Bring back the Great Library!

Bring back Darwin while they're at it. Add massive amounts of religion to the game and remove Darwin? Where was this game made Kansas?

Considering that all of the Wonders just give small bonuses, it is surprising that the Pyramids give you all the Government types. it would make more sense that you get a small bonus like +1 hammer/square in that city/obsolete when discovering so and so tech.

This makes me think, can you still build aircraft carriers years before discovering flight? Aircraft carriers in Civ 3 could have done with a duel condition trigger (discovering both flight and I think mass production)
