Each and every turn is a thing of beauty.

The more I take, the more I want.

      Then, it's bedtime...

My network is in the basement and the kids drive her nuts for hours so she never even notices I'm gone. Then, when I can't stand it anymore, I run upstairs and ask what's for dinner. And she still let's me live!

I HAVE THE BEST WIFE IN THE WORLD!!

*bows to you* You are da man! If I am at my computer for more than 2 hours, I get the GLARE OF DOOM!

Now, to get my wife to play Civ IV....she did play Age of Empires II a couple times! Only because a few of her sorority sisters had it at their house at Indiana U. Was fun playing late-night Ages against good-looking girls!

True civ fans(tm) would never accept any other women as their wives than the ones who are fellow fans!

...I'm having a feeling I'm going to live alone for the rest of my life.

true civvers are single and would never let a woman interfere with any chance of playing civ4. Yes, civ4 is even more important than sex.

I don't have a wife. Nor do I have a girlfriend. Am I in trouble?

Civ IV is #1 in my house because i can play and hold the baby ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!!!

For BF2, I have to wear headphones and use both hands, so I'm completely unattached to what is going on around me.

CIV IV HAS SAVED MY MARRIAGE!!! (not really, but my wife loves it).

I have a very supportive family!

My wife loves to play CIV multiplayer on our LAN. We have a great setup in our home office and can play until the early hours!

Our five year old watched us playing last week, we explained what we were doing, and why, throughout the game and he begged to be allowed to play his own game. He proceeded to crush all before him (on settler level of course, tiny map, 2 opponents) winning a domination victory in the late 1700s in his first game, without ever changing his civics or founding a religion. The only help I gave him was to read the occasional difficult word in a pop-up. When summoned for dinner his response was: "Just a minute I need to build another theater to expand my borders!".

He is now totally addicted and especially likes the title screen music, anytime I want to summon him I simply play the MP3 and crank up the volume and he comes running.

Our 4 year old also loves the music and will sit on my lap discussing strategy and history while I play. The running commentary is hysterical..."Look out Daddy there are bad dudes in the jungle".

The biggest plus is that I now have fantastic subject matter for their home schooling. Both kids are totally motivated to read and learn so they can enjoy more CIV! Last week we focused on the basic necessities of early city dwellers and the impact of climate on available food sources. Next week Sun-Tzus art of war...

                              Life is good.

                              I think therefore I CIV
