I have explored most of my surrondings, but the map doesn't show where I have been. It is as if I have left my first city. They only way I can see the map is when I totally zoom out. This makes the game difficult to play. Anyone else having this problem? Any remedies?

Could you maybe post a screenshot to illustrate the problem?
Because from your description, it is not exactly clear whether this is a problem, or you are referring to the fog of war.

The game was tested on ATI cards...
I don't know much right now, except that people all over at the various forums are reporting graphical glitches with ATI cards. I have no idea why that would be the case.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I have an ATI card! I can't get windowed mode to work - the game loads, but then gets stuck on the "Done" loading screen.

Gah. I don't have the game yet, but my ATI card gave me enough problems with both WoW and EQ2, forcing me to constantly juggle with and downgrade the drivers to fit the requirements.
ATI must be the most frigging sucking card manufacturer ever. The problem with leadership is inevitably: Who will play God?
