Animations on, but I want to slow them down (movement & combat) by 50 - 100%. Hopefully I can do so via XML.

I'm a sucker for all the frills, but the music has to stay turned down low. That is the compromise made by having the PC in the living room.
+ I get a lot more game time because I'm in the same room, chatting and keeping one eye on the TV so I'm being sociable to the family.
- I have to tune down the sound effects and music and practice stealth typing if its not a mouse-only gameTo doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

I've never turned off the animinations in Civ3. The music, however, eventually got extremely stale. We'll have to see whether that happens with Civ4.Long-time poster on Apolyton and WePlayCiv
