Hammers are Stupid, Throw Shields at Them

Just a Shield tribute thread.

I've been looking at all the screen shots for the game and I think that I will miss the shields, which have been replaced by hammers. I don't know why, but it just seems like such a minor change that I wonder why they made it at all! I mean, come'on! Every other game uses hammers! The only reason I played Civ was for the shields!!! Ack! Hammers! I can't take it!!!

Someone make a mod!

Shields made NO sense, but damnit, they're OURS.

Anyone can come up with Hammers, but Shields was truely thinking outside the box. It's called abstract creative thought, and I LOVE it.
