Poor beta's, always running around on the wimp of or the gamers, or the developpers.

Now that Civ4's gone gold, will the NDA be lifted?

I will be completely satisfied with combat IF they have achieved a situation where naval units and air units get almost as much, if not AS MUCH, use-by player and AI alike-as ground units do. Obviously the navy one is dependant on map size-but I thinking in terms of a standard continents map.
So, can the beta-testers at least confirm this much, or will I have to wait and see?

Even after a game is released the NDA is still in effect.
The only difference is Beta-testers may then talk about things that are in the game that anyone who plays it can find out about. They are just a few steps ahead of everyone else.
There are still plenty of no go areas.
Anyway I think some things should be left for the player to find out about.
After all would you buy a crime novel if I told you the butler did it."What if somebody gave a war and nobody came?" Allen Ginsberg

But yes, everything that occured during the beta test period of time, and is related to it in some way, is still strictly covered by the NDA.This thread may contain traces of nuts.
