Same here. Also, OE would lose all of it's icons on the menu bar; they would all sort of slide slowly to the right, disapearing for good until you quit it and restarted. Very annoying indeed.Originally posted by snoopy369
Civ3 the biggest problem I had was on exiting, if I have Firefox/IE open, that program (ONE of them if they're both open) suddenly goes to 99% system resources for about 30 seconds ... sounding like they share a resource in some way that doens't quite work as expected.

How about an internet playlist??? I much rather listen to Radio ParadiseOriginally posted by Solver
Civ4 has another cool feature. You can, in game, select a folder with MP3s, and then those will play

i also have 1680x1050 on my notebook and it already worked fine with civ3! the ini file needed keepresolution=1 or similar in it.Originally posted by hanZ
hm 1 gig of ram for fullscreen/alt tab oO
i'm curious if the game runs better in windowed 1280x1024 than in 1680x1050 fullscreen on my notebook

I would have thought the opposite. As the workload is now spread between the graphics card and the CPU.Originally posted by hanZ
yeah, civ3 worked great in 1680x1050 - but due to the new 3d-engine civ4 most likely wont perform as well as civ3."What if somebody gave a war and nobody came?" Allen Ginsberg

the dell widescreen notebooks don't have per default super powerful graphics cards, but it should suffice. no one will worry about framerates in civ4 except maybe when zooming
