  • 2 weeks til Civ4 ships

2 weeks til people whine about it, complaining that Firaxis "changed everything", how great Civ 3, Civ 2, Civ 1 were in comparison. 2 weeks til people call it massively overrated, and how they returned it immediately for credit, and how Sid Meier's lost touch.

    Just can't wait.

Maybe some people will love it, but we'll be called fanboys if we do.

Anyhow, can't believe it's just two more weeks til a new Civ is out -- actually hands on by Meier.

I preordered from EBgames and then went into the store. The guy there checked whatever database he's got and it seemed to indicate the release date was the 25th.

Hah. I have it preordered from EB Games, the limited edition (the spiral bound manuel is something I can NOT refuse), and to be shipped overnight, so I get it before the stores here do in NYC. I will not be denied

I can't decide on how to pre-order the game. I currently have an online pre-order with overnight delivery but I'm worried I can get it sooner if I just reserve a pre-order copy at the local store! Argh...

I've always lost out when I pre-ordered a pickup from EBGames -- they always "ran out" of the extras that came with the game.

I just pre-order online. Screw the $10 in shipping + tax added.

civ 3 was pretty broken when it was released.

not near as much as black and white though.
