    Actually, they look like they are based on actual map tiles. And I would find those very useful in team PBEMs, or even normal PBEMs where alliances do happen at times.

      yes, they are tile-based and will most certainly rotate and zoom together with the whole 3D world. but they still look freehand ergo, a bit crooked
