Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
They could make a limit that say a civ can only split once... maybe twice, but the second time it splits the different way, so now North China splits into North-east China and North-west China
After that it wont be possible anymore...
Yeah. But if it's so easy to make a tool making such names as this(either with release or at least with the modding tools), why not just make a series of alternate names that can be used, preferably related to the original civ, and at least non-existant(in the game) and from the same area civ?
Like Roman Empire --> Byzantines --> Latin Empire
Greeks --> Macedons(forgive me Markos, but it's better than nothing... ) --> Hellenic Empire
I think that would be better, and even though it might be harder to find names for some civs(as mentioned earlier in this thread, I think that could make more splits possible. And nothing hinders us from combining these two ideas after all.
Like:
Let's say after "Greeks --> Macedons(forgive me Markos, but it's better than nothing... ) --> Hellenic Empire" we can't find any better names. Then we could make it Eastern/Western etc. [civ name] from there on.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a
Also active on WePlayCiv.
the original question wasn't about splitting though, it was if I could have two leaders of one nation play each other. So it isn't as simple as just east/west or north/south because if you start out with 2 civs the game isn't gonna know which is north and which is south. Then there is also the possiblity of the diagonal split or if the two civs started on two completely other continents.
In single player, fair enough, but in multiplayer its the only way to be fair.
well u can mod it so that the koreans, aztecs, incans and vikings all play like mayans, if that is the favorite civ for hotseat game...
Speaking of player-colors, why is it that for all RTS games the player always plays as red in the campaigns? With a few exceptions where the forced color is blue...
