Actually it could be an interesting Cold War mod, where you actually have the chance to fight as well, if you (or the other power) chooses to.

I just think it might be a bit dull if you aren't the one fighting. There really isn't much exploration or expansion either. You'd also have to make sure the AI doesn't make China declare war on America on the first turn. Depending on the modding capabilities, some interesting things could be done though.

Seeing that post, I wonder why Firaxis bothers to include a diplomatic victory option in the game...

As the UN currently stands, I think it's the worst victory.

I want to see a mod like the Sword of Shanarra mod for Civ2.

This is the Civ4 forum, not the Civ2 forum.

Just one of my old mod concept: The race for space between 50th to the moon and the Mir / Skylab lab in space.

I think it could be an interesting point to bring up players attention, while the fear of a large war work in the background.
I'm not sure if the AI can keep up with a subtle scenario like this, in fact.

Wasn't Tron asking for a "Civ IV" new release of a previus Civ II mod? It seems quite a valid request (not my cup of tea, but that's not the point).

I misread his post, but it doesn't really matter, since he seems like a DL.

                            so what if he is?

and a star wars mod would be way
although i have no interest myself in making one
if you want to stop terrorism; stop participating in it

''Oh,Commissar,if we could put the potatoes in one pile, they would reach the foot of God''.But,replied the commissar,''This is the Soviet Union. There is no God''.''Thats all right'' said the worker,''There are no potatoes''

Definitely a CIVIL WAR mod-i.e. a mod which incorporates the idea of secession/civil war into the game for overly large/poorly managed nations!!!
I wanna play the game a fair bit before I make a start on it though !

All those mod capabilities seem to allow a lot of flexibility... If true, almost every historical event could be properly developed... Am I being too optimistic?

I'm easy, folks... Make a well balanced mod about anything and I'll be happy.
