    Let's see...

    The end of ICS (hopefully).
Promotions. It just sounds really interesting.
XML data, Python and SDK = any imaginable mod.
The religion system will probably also be exciting .

Civ IV deserves a new keyboard, for sure. A clean one. But not a mouse for me... I use a Wacom tablet.
Unfortunately, the tablet doesn't work in CTP or AOM. It's a shame!
But works fine in Civ II and III, thanks God....
I hope the same for Civ IV (serious, Firaxians... If you didn't yet, do it now! )

Well, this is "The Positivity Post" thread, so there's no reason to act pessimistic. My tablet will work fine with Civ IV, I'm sure!

Well almost all apps/games made today rely on built-in Win drivers for mice and other devices. So surely Civ4 will rely on Windows built-in tablet driver so therefore you should have no problem!

I just read the PC Gamer article from a while back, and in it Soren says that Great Leaders may become the most talked about new feature.

In response to that, I am now pleased to announce that Great Leaders will be my black sheep of things to look forward to.

Oh, my God: video of Yin eating the gamebox seems as appealing to Poly people as next Quentin Tarantino bloody box office success.

May be in a few weeks we'll see Yin at David Letterman Late Night Show

Meantime, as in real Hollywood style...
"Yin, suddendly a Movie Star, asked for a stuntman for the dangerous scene of eating the cardboard for real. Some cutting & pasting & FX on the tape and we are beliving into anything".

"Mr. Yin, Mr. Yin! Can you please sign this gamebox for my son? Would you kindly bite it a bit into a corner? Just a bit, not through the whole DVD, please. Thank you, you are so kind and also you look better live than on your photo on the forum."

BTW, I wonder if someone at Firaxis is so evil to send to Yin a "special tin box edition" of the game. That will really ruin the day, I think

                      Just kidding Yin, just kidding.

I'm afraid a special Firaxian tin box wouldn't work as the agreement between Markos and Yin specifically says that Yin is going to eat cardboard .

...thinking that this post is all about being positive...

Since there is some chance I might actually have to eat this darned thing (or "part" as the contract states--I think the marquee side of the box should suffice), I'd be open to some recepie ideas. I'm already thinking I'd want to spread this out over the day.

Breakfast: Shredded coardboard benedict (shredded cardboard over eggs benedict)

Lunch: Cardboard strip salad (strips of cardboard and chicken over a nice salad, covered in balsamic)

Dinner: Cardboard carbonara (cardboard chunks stirred in with carbonara sauce atop EDIT penne pasta)

                          Any ideas would be helpful.

                            That's the spirit, Yin!

                            At least in this thread.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

It is, Yin, at least for all the player, not because you'll end eating (small part of - ) the box, but because that's an official statement about a great game of Civ. The sacrifice of a bold, heroic man for the better of many... sort of.

Good point. A friend suffering for a bad taste of the box is not anything I want to see. Maybe Firaxis will be kind enough to make a special edition in cardboard, available in mint, strawberry, orange or lemon.

Well, my first strong suggestion is to mind at the kind of pasta you order. I know I do myself lot of mistakes writing in english, mistakes everyone here forgive for gentleman agreement, but I can't keep from underline the right italian name of the pasta you mention is "Penne" (two "n"), while "pene" is the anatomical part that mainly differentiate male from female.

                              Putting back something serius...
Anything is far from sure, but Civ IV moddability can save the boat just in case something goes horrible wrong.
Religions and Civic models can be marginal or relevant, it really depends from balancing of effects.

I have no real hopes for the combat model, nor I'am amazed for the graphics.

                              I'm positive enough
