I'd like to hear what the Aztec and Mali units say.
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is not a vice." -- Barry Goldwater, 1964 GOP Nomination acceptance speech (not George W. Bush 40 years later...)

I suppose the Mali will speak Malian. It's not an extinct language

No idea for the Aztecs though. I wonder if their language has survived.

I'm not saying they are untrusted, may be only too much excited or misleaded by an insider hint .

Anyway, I'll believe on Firaxis official news or by earing it by my own ears playing the game...

You know, someone is spending Firaxis money financing his/her vacation around the world under the account of "searching for native speaking for recording the Malian, Chinese, Aztec, etc. version of "yes, sir!", "mission accomplished!", "my words are backed by nuclear weapons!".

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if they spoke spanish.

Maybe they'll use an existing Native language from somewhere in South America as a substitute?

I thought the Maya language survives till this day. Perhaps a possibility.

The Aztec language probably exists to atleast some degree, but I'm sure it wouldn't be easy to find voice actors for it.

The Aztec language probably do not exist anymore, except perhaps in some words incorporated to the Spanish spoken in the areas where they lived.

But the Incan language still survives (with some modifications) and it is widely spoken in Peru and Bolivia.

I don't really care about this. I want more interesting stuff about game mechanics.

I want more immersiveness. Civ3 failed me on that. I want to play Mali and feel like I'm playing a totally different Civ than America.
