I hope Firaxis doesn't do the same error they did with Alexander in Civ 3. In this version, he was portrayed as an old man (50 ou 60 ?). But the damn guy died at 33, only 8 months after his lover, Hephaïstion.

I liked Civ3 Alexander. However, I agree it was hard to think of him as the bloodthirsty conqueror of the known world."I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident
"I never had the need to have a boner." -- Dissident
"I have never cut off my penis when I was upset over a girl." -- Dis

I hope they make Alexander in a brash, golden haired boy with locks with a tyranical smirk running accross his face and a very powerful set of eyes.
The Civ3 version of Alexander made you think he was some intelligent, cunning older man who thinked himself to be higher then the rest of the lot (notice the way his eyes are always looking slightly up and he has a very unworldy look upon him).
And I truely hate to think that Alexander will make the Greeks into a warmonging lot of savages that will attack you once they have spotted you. How could this be totally historical?

Oh, didn't you know? City disagreements happen a lot within the Greek civilisation (historically seen).

What I meant was that the Greeks tended to be rather xenophobic regarding the world and did not typically wage wars soley for imperialization of other countries. Where as Alexander was interested in a more global empire that included the Imperialization of countries and nations as far away as India, Afghanistan, and Egypt.
And the portait in Civ III reminded me more of Pericles then of Alexander.

Because the Civ3 Alexander simply looked horrible. Like a stoned toon character."And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961
