    @ mhkhosravi:

Yes, you're right about the Persian symbol(s) of course. And I didn't want to imply otherwise. No need to sent me private messages for the matter.

Another thought: are we sure that the scimitar is used for the Persian Civ? Arabs are supposed to be in as well, perhaps the symbol for both civs were switched?

But statusperfect- why should we be expected to fix a broken game? We pay money for a working game.

Though I could argue that the lion in the second flag holds a scimitar.

          THANK YOU VERY MUCH
but how can we say these to Civ4 programmers ?
In fact, most probably we can't. I've seen a large number of intelligent and important suggestions/objections to what programmers did, but hardly ever you can make yourself be heard. I'd never blame programmers for that, however. After all, they work to finish a playable game and can't spend all day browsing our forums.

The best way is if after the release you find an annoying detail, go to a forum of "modders" (people who make their own modifications and scenarios and graphics etc.) and petition "New Persian flag needed!!" or something. I'm sure there'll be someone who does it.

that we do, that we do...

and the game would not have grown so far over so long without so much money that has been paid...

Arabs were people lived in babylon that finaly became under territory of persia.(2500 years ago)
Arabs were people living on the Arabian Peninsula, not the Fertile Crescent.

(and Elizabeth is the Commonwealth's Queen, not just Australia's )

In Australia her title is "Queen Elizabeth II, of Australia"

I do not believe that there is a title: "Queen of the Commonwealth"

                    Wernazuma III
I cant wait untill release time, it will be to late, I dont want to see scimitar as Persians flag

your knowledge about history is GREAT
as a symbol for Safaviehs I think Peacock Throne is the best.
the things that I know from safavids(safaviye), is miniature paintings of women with wine, blue mosques with special architecture , "NAGHSH E JAHAN" Square , that is second big square of the world , and perhaps was first that time .
but as a symbol maybe a Peacock is good too or a peacock in that way of miniatures , because there is many paintings of peacock and was symbol of beauty from that time , it is symbol for us now too.

do I helped you about this? (I dont think so )

I've always liked Iranian history- it gets a raw deal because Western history is so indebted to Graeco-Roman sources, and as both Greeks and Romans were at times enemies of different Iranian empires, Iran and Iranians get a bad press in my opinion.

I like Iranian art and food too.

                          A new Idea :

It would be alot better if Electrical Power be exportable. (importing oil or uranium, producing electrical power and exporting it)
perhaps it should more improvements, like "Power Lines" in addition to Power Plants.

                          second New Idea

Its better to let the Player define size of buildings and city improvements.perhaps larger improvements may have more effects and take more time to build.

for example : I build a library with size 2 because the city that builds it is small, or in my capital I say to build library size 7 because I want to have the largest library in the wotld (and the game tells which civilization has the biggest one).

or another example : I am persia, my biggest university is in pasargad with size 22, but America has university with size 24 in NewYork, Pasargad is building a great wonder so I tell the persepolis to expand its university from size 18 to 25.

the amount of shields depend on size exponentialy.

for example : building university size 8 takes 1280 shields but university of size 4 takes 320 shields, or size 1 takes 20 shields. (exponential values)

a thing similar to great wonders, but all of sizes is different and no limit on building them in any time ...

                          I think it is late , ?

Actually, improvements of different 'sizes' and effects sounds interesting, I guess it can quite be done in a mod.

I like the idea as well but perhaps the build (or improvement) costs can be exponential, or something similar, to avoid dumping excess production into an uber university. Maybe the size limit can be set to equal the city size.

The Persians deserve to be in Civ because of what they achieved in the b.c. period, with their huge civ. the bullions, the hanging gardens, the heir of babylon, even Alexandar chose it for his kingdom... but persia really shouldn't be in if it would be merited for post islam achievments, like mhkhosravi suggests with asking for islamic iranian soldiers in civ. i mean seriously, the only thing iranian i ever bought in my life is a pack of dais (the fruit, urmas). they are just another failed theocracy, much like the arabs west of them. so persians - yes, iranians - no way.
