Errrm... in the E3 interview, Barry Caudill said:

We started working on the game about 2 years ago and expect to have it in stores for the holidays.
Anyone got a clues as to what holidays he meant? I live in France, when speaking of 'the holidays' here, it means june/july/august

But I guess September it will be - no false hopes...

@Modo44: do you absolutely need one? I'm in france, and I usually order from amazon UK to have the game in english - or are you waiting ofr a polish translation?

Not to play it—my English is good enough. But it will cost much more if I have to buy it abroad, at least for a while after it is released.

November is the official target if you would have visited civanon.org. It may only become later. Never earlier.

                Where's the release-date prediction thread?
What date did I pick again?

You mean you did not start putting little euro bills under your pillow each month when Civ4 was announced?

Aaargh! I know a little healthy pessimism cannot do any harm, but NOVEMBER?...

I mean I could buy other things too if I get CIV cheaper. But hey, I might skip pepsi for half a year—that would "make" about enough money... and so healthy it would be.

Of course I will buy it anyway. CivCrack has me.

                      Et merde...

Because of an unknown flow somewhere, I cannot watch the videos. Could someone give me the link to them, so I can download them (and then maybe I'll be able to watch them)

                      Thanks !

Yeah. Here in North America, when we refer to "the holidays" we're usually referring to the Christmas holidays, not the summer holidays.

Dropping the "North", of "North America" will define "the holidays" as starting with Thanksgiving Day on November 26 through New Years Day. Canada celebrates Thanksgiving Day on a different day.
