Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
The graphic thing I'm waiting to give a look at is mountains. I wonder if we will get "interaction" between different tiles, with mountains forming chains of mountains and so on.
Of course, such interaction would be nice with rivers, lakes and so on, but mountains would be nice first of all
Though why is it that there's a city in the middle of all the blackness? This is not SMAC where your unit suddenly could be on the other side of the planet
Maybe they bought the crossbows from another civ...
At the top of the screen it says "Research: Bronze Working (3)" which I assume means they invent it in 3 turns...
Ok, what means:
- Aretas III (leader name? Unit name? special unit name?)
- (Great Merchant) (a great leader? a special unit?)
- 2 [feet] (does this mean there's a great leader who can walk 2 stept. does this mean great leaders get special functions? abilities?)
- invisible to other units (only for this great leader / special unit? other invisible units? submarines?)
- Desert 3 food? 1 commerce?
- gresh water gives an additional 'red cross' = extra healing power? healing power to what? citizen? damaged units?
- the feet next to the 'crossbowman' description is a little different then the feet next to the 'great merchant'

center-under:
skull = disband?
flag on top of mountain = ? claim territory?
arrow over dot = wait / wait this turn
swords / shield = pillage? fortress?
?????? = ??????? hmmm, on 2nd view it looks like such a thing to look further (forgot the english word) perhaps a way to view terrain further away.
Maybe these 5 options are for the (not in the screen visible) "Great Merchant" Aretas III.
Does such a special unit have the possibility to claim land? To look further away?
Why is the crossbowman selected in the left bottom corner? Are the crossbowman and the "Aretas III" unit the same? Is the Aretas III unit a promoted crossbowman, which has special abilities, like claiming land (???) and use a telescope / spyglass (that was the word I was looking for)
In fact those abilities would be cool for special promoted units.
If this is the case that would mean that you can name your units, for sure if they're promoted units.

On 3rd look, the merchant most obviously is the merchant you can sie on the south-west of the city.
Which leaves the question open where the crossbowman is located in the screen. And which one is selected, the crossbowman or hte great merchant.
Does the great merchant point at a new trade system?
In which merchants wander through the fields from city to city?

Maybe the Great Mechant text is info-text that shows up when hovering the mouse over the unit?
And the selected crossbowman is in the land not viewable on screen
Something is annoying about such types of screenshots (with interface). I keep trying to click on the minimap to view other parts of the map
When do they make "screenshots" that allows this
