This is one thing I miss from earlier versions. I would even go as far to restrict it ONLY to forts and then only if they are manned.
Is there a mod available that will:
1) create a zone of control (in the classic Civ sense) around a manned fort?
2) give any artillery units (catapult and up) auto attacks if an enemy moves within that zone (during that enemy's turn).
Number 2 is kinda a wishlist thing. Number 1, though, would make the early and mid-game more interesting. Being able to set up a string of forts is a lot of fun and would certainly hold those damned barbarians at bay. In fact, it would be nice to give an invisible zone around forts, say three or four squares in each direction, in which new barbarian cities cannot crop up.
Anyone know anything about any mods similar to this?
