    I must admit I am eagerly waiting for the latest build of your mod, true stacked combat is really lacking, as far as my tastes are concerned of course. Two thumbs up !

      Ok... I just signed up for this forum because I am sick of waiting for this feature. My favorite civ game is still Call To Power II but it is seriously outdated. The main reason for this is because I love sea colonies...I think they make game play significantly more interesting and imaginative...


      Further down the page, it turns out that there's a couple of guys in Toulouse (Dubmetender and Major) who are making a CTP mod for Civ4.

        • Is there a way to install this mod in pieces? That is, can I add just the ranged bombardment and not the stacked combat?

              • ANNOUNCEMENT!

                Dale's Combat Mod has entered it's 3rd phase! The mod is now feature complete, and hopefully it's a short phase of fixing bugs.

                Known bugs:
                - AI fails to return a city when checking for a likely target (MAD Nukes)
                - Combat results may display slowely in message area (CASA)

                Please see the first post for details, instructions and downloading.

                • Beta 3 Bug Report

                  In the attached save, when I end my turn (AD 5) the game never comes back from the AI players making their turns.

                  Nothing special has happened in the game at this point that I can tell.

                    I had a similar issue here. Mine happened in 450 AD, but I'm not sure year has much to do with it. A friend here at work had one happen around 400 BC.

                    I tried going back to the last autosave and it happened in the same spot everytime.

                    Here's mine. I don't have my friend's file. Hope it helps solve this possible bug. Man, this mod is really looking like it will be so awesome!

                    • Beta 3 Bug Report

                      Okay, same issue has cropped up again in my next game. Year 8t0 BC this time, so year seems to be no factor. This time I did notice that for the two turn previous, the length of time between player turns increased significantly. Which leads me to believe that there is a memory leak somewhere, or potentially, a runaway variable count or something of that nature.

                        Got this bug in two successive tries (my only tries so far) after building my first two cities. In both cases I had built archers and was building a Wonder in my capital and a settler in the other one. It could be time, or could be situation. Had to CTD both times so no save.
                        Many are cold, but few are frozen.No more durrian, please. On On!

                              • Nah that's cool. I need to match up what the AI is attacking and find a pattern. So anything earlier than the turn it freezes is useless for this.
