lol - yes, im certain.
i only replaced the art/Interface/Buttons/Buildings/hippodrom.dds string in the CIV4ArtDefines_Building.xml file with art/Interface/Buttons/Buildings/Rituals.dds (and copy the Rituals.dds file in the ...buttons/buildings folder) and it works perfect.
maybe it IS some kind of video card problem - i dont know, but if i play civ4 on my laptop i have very strangs grafic "effects" as well!
my grafic card on my 3ghz pc: NVIDIA GeForce PCX 5750 TV-out /128 MByte

AHA!
This might have something to do with languages or something! I take it by your use of the word "treiber" rather than Driver that you are playing in german! (should have known that earlier actually from looking at your mod and your name and your icon and and and...)
I have only coded the mod I am playing with in English...I have actually left other things BLANK, and I did not bother to use the TEXT .xml files for some of the simple text labels...like the names of my techs are just the names of the techs rather than referring to the Text XML files which seems only necessary if you are goign to want to display in multiple languages...but maybe its causing some kind of issue...

When I get home I will just send you my modlet...
It only has the stuff set up for the one new tech and the one new building so far.
Its the first building and the first tech, and they come pretty quickly so it should not be an issue.
Then you can try it and we can narrow it down to either my coding causing an issue, or possibly a video card thing. I have an ATI card with the latest drivers."Ceçi n'est pas une Signature!"Comment

maybe it has something to do with the language and so on...
(side note: i have installed the english version of the game and also use the english text option - reason: troubles with the ü ö ä letters in unit, tech and city names (especially if you want to test your mod with the worldbuilder); dont want to have problems with the mod only because of that...)Last edited by GIR; December 6, 2005, 20:42.Comment

Well aparently I "fixed" it.
It looks to me like the My Documents folder version of the MOD folder is broken in another way...
This causes the black circle problem!
