Is this still a going concern? Is anyone trying to admin it anymore? My offer to help is still open but it's the last thing anybody said so I don't know if anybody knows I want to help.

I have found a civ4 wiki out there, but none of the above work. And the wiki I found was pretty basic (lots of procedurally generated content from civ4 vanilla, but very little in the way of human entered content or warlords content).

The Civ4 Wiki works fine for me. It does contain info such as how to add a new civ.

Good to know your offer is still open. Right now fixing the modiki is not our top priority, there are other things more urgent that need to be addressed first. But we'll definitely want to revisit this when those have been taken care of, so stay tuned...

            Hey,

an old post over on civfanatics implied that there once was a page on the leaderheadinfos.xml file on the modiki wiki. If so, did it contain more information than the one on civ4wiki.com? And if it did, did anyone happen to make a backup of it?

Coincidentally, it looks like modiki was running mediawiki, and that mediawiki is unable to connect to the db at the moment. This problem can be fixed in less than 5 minutes if it is what I think it is.

We are not in a position to address the wiki right now. I have been assured it is a future concern but there are other priorities right now.

both wikis are no longer available.
has anyone managed to backup xml descriptions?

I was trying to add some stuff into civ4 but without descriptions i'm stuck (most pages give links to wikis).

or maybe someone can answer question:
                how to make building a
                -national wonder
                -world wonder

                I can't find it.

You make buildings wonders through the building class info in Civ4BuildingClassInfos.xml

                    ah yes
                    thx 4 the info.

one more question, is this possible to set a building so it cannot be builded in city if there is another specified building?
for example set it so no coal plant can be build once nuclear plant is present?

basically, what i am trying to do, is to add a World Wonder - "Imperial Palace". once it is build, an Imperial Units could be build in host city, but it would also allow other players to create "Royal Palace" - a weaker version which would allow them to spawn slightly weaker units.

but I would like to make it impossible to build Royal Palace in the Civ that did build Imperial one.

Civ IV WIki back up at new site

Thought I should add to this thread that a new incarnation of the Civ IV Wiki is back up and running, here. It's managed to retrieve most of the information from the old Civ 4 wiki (unfortunately nothing from the modiki).

It needs alot of TLC, but at least there's a site to work with again!
