You're getting a blank page because up until now that topic had no discussion. It has to start somewhere, so post your comment. Also, don't worry about messing up a discussion page. It's just like the main article page. Revision history is always kept so even if you mess something up you can always revert back to an old version.

once they are merged the wiki should present any and all information to do with civ4, and perhaps even the entire civ series.

a wiki that nobody can edit isn't terribly useful.
it's just my opinion. can you dig it?

Especially if there's no really useful info on there to begin with. The command reference is almost entirely missing, for example.

editing was closed due to spam bots.

do i see any volunteers to take over it's administration?

I'm a little late but I would love to do this. I've been looking for a way to help out and this is a good start.

Well, the video's were a good start. This is a good way to continue.

Please let me know what I need to do.

I am also interested in helping out with Civ IV Wikis. A few random thoughts, which may or may not be of interest.

                          1) I found the 2 wikis ( Modiki and Civ4Wiki ) a few months ago and did some work on Civ4Wiki.

                          2) I lost interest in contributing as there was very little activity on the sites but I have continued to monitor for changes daily.

                          3) I tried to help clean up onslaughts of "spam" on Civ4Wiki for several weeks (analogous to raging barbs) until Rkyte installed some "defensive software" (analogous to FOW busting!?). (Note: Modiki's defense was to allow edits only via accounts created by admin.)

                          4) The admins of the 2 sites stated their intention to merge but explained there were some technical difficulties (no merge to date). Although I have not made this suggestion before, it is my opinion that it would take me 1 or 2 days to move all content from Modwiki (which has far fewer pages) over to Civ4Wiki. Of course, this approach would loose all WikiMedia history and credits. If necessary this lost information could be explicitly stated as content in the pages.
