Firaxis has done a great job of turning the King into a real character: leave him for a second and he'll inspect his jewellery before flashing it in your face. He's a self-satisfied buffoon who oozes arrogance and menace from every pore.
GameSpot have released 3 gameplay videos. The first video shows trading with Europe, the second video a little about colony development. The third video shows part of a war between France and England.

Welel, I guess later in the game, with more than 5-6 colonies, two heads are better than one when it comes to managing trade and naval warfare. I guess it will come down to how the English ruled on the Atlantic seaboard - with 13 independant colonies - that means actually 13 persons could play the English at the same time.
