Watched a bit of France (cool last-minute goal) and England (ehh silly last minute give-away of victory or, if you are for Russia, another cool last-minute goal).

Didn't watch anything today so far. Just read Eng/Rus *might* come into trouble because of fans rioting in Marseille

A bunch of Kraut 'fans' didn't like to be outdone and caused trouble in Lille as well.

Match went largely as planned, except the fact that Ukraine was better than the result suggests.

A Russian MP apparently said the French should leave the fans alone because fighting is normal and fine.

A number of the Russian fans apparantly brought MMA mouthguards and gloves with them for when they charged at the England fans after the final whistle.

Real smart considering they are supposed to be holding a World Cup soon. The Russian sports minister supported the French authorities though which was good.

Iceland - Portugal 1-1

Apparently 3 percent of the icelandic population was present at the stadion.

Iceland was refreshing. Every player's name ended in -sson or at least -son. 1-1 vs the thought-to-be-far-superior Portuguese is a good result.

The Viking-style chanting was cool but may reinforce widespread fears across Europe of tall bearded men invading and plundering everywhere ....
